We began our ministry journey in 2005, initially serving as youth pastors and then associate pastors at local churches. Over 14 impactful years our passion for nurturing hearts and souls deepened.

Feeling a divine calling, we launched The Refinery Church in 2019—a vibrant community where everyone is embraced with love and challenged to grow in their faith.

Our vision is simple yet profound: to provide a place where the lost find hope, the broken find healing, and everyone finds belonging in the love of Christ. Everyone. Everyday. Everywhere.

We Believe

ABOUT GOD

We believe in one true, holy God who exists eternally in three equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Trinity). From the beginning, God displayed His power, wisdom, and goodness by creating the world and everything in it.

ABOUT THE BIBLE

We believe that the entirety of Scripture (both Old and New Testaments) originated from God and was revealed to chosen authors. Scripture speaks with the authority of God. We hold that the Scriptures, in their original manuscripts, are infallible and inerrant, serving as the unique, complete, and final authority on all matters of faith and practice.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ, the eternal second person of the Trinity, became fully human through a miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived in perfect obedience to the Father and voluntarily paid the price for the sins of all people by dying on the cross as their substitute, satisfying divine justice and bringing salvation to all who trust in Him alone. After His physical death, Jesus rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father as the only intercessor between God and humans. He promises to return to earth, personally and visibly, to fulfill God's eternal plan.

ABOUT SALVATION

We believe that salvation is God's redemptive work for sinners. Although humanity was originally created to be in a relationship with God, mankind defied Him, resulting in alienation and an inability to please God. This fall occurred at the beginning of human history, and since then, all people have suffered its consequences, requiring God's saving grace. Salvation is entirely a work of God's free grace and not the result of human efforts or goodness. Each person can receive salvation through repentance and faith. Humans are free moral agents and can turn away from God even after being born again, resulting in eternal separation from Him.

ABOUT WATER BAPTISM

Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a believer's first act of obedience in their relationship with Christ. It is important for the person being baptized to fully understand what it means to be a follower of Christ. We baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as instructed by Jesus (Matthew 28:19).

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the present supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose purpose is to glorify Jesus Christ and instruct and empower every believer for godly living and service. John 16:13-14; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is a promise from the Father for every believer and is distinct and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. Speaking in tongues, as the Holy Spirit gives utterance, is a physical indication of the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4, 38-39, 19:4-6. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift….NOT a requirement for Salvation! Should you seek after it….Yes….Will it change your life….Yes Will it give you power…. Yes If you have been cleansed by the power that is in the blood of Jesus….You are SAVED….Period!

ABOUT DIVINE HEALING

Divine healing is for the physical ailments of the human body and is brought about by the power of God through the prayer of faith and the laying on of hands (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15). It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is available to all who truly believe.

ABOUT MARRIAGE

God designed marriage for humanity. As first described in Genesis and later affirmed by Jesus, marriage is a God-ordained, covenant relationship between a man and a woman. Biblical marriage — marked by faithfulness, sacrificial love and joy — displays the relationship between God and his people.

ABOUT COMMUNION

During His last days, Jesus gathered His disciples and instructed them to consume bread and wine "in remembrance" of Him. Today, we regularly observe communion with bread and grape juice as a community to remember our Savior's sacrifice for our sins.
